About the Artist

“Understanding one’s emotions, character and passions increases the flow of energy

Suzanne Jack is a retired art educator and has been a professional artist for over 20 years whose sensibilities as an artist are revealed through a vivid color palette and dynamic energy. She has won regional and national awards such as Best of Show and the Pivot Point Gallery Award in the Tennessee Artists Association 2022 Art Exhibition. She will be published in the Stroke of Genius 14 drawing competition in The Best of Drawing presented by the editors of Artists Magazine.

Her artwork “Water Gems” won a 1st Place National Award by The Pastel Journal and was published in its spring edition. The pastel painting is also featured in Art Journey: Abstract Art: A Celebration of Contemporary Art, 2017, edited by Jamie Merkle. “Water Gems” was purchased by the Hyatt Place Farragut Hotel and is displayed in its boardroom in Knoxville, TN.

Her portrait “Thomas Scott, Jr.” was received into the 94th National Artist Professional League Exhibition Nov. 2022 and displayed at the Salmagundi Club New York, NY.

Jack received The National Award of Excellence in Painting from the National Art Education Association and was honored with The Marie Walsh Sharpe Foundation artist award.

She has had solo exhibitions at Vanderbilt University Club and the Ohio State Faculty Club; The Renaissance Center, Dickson, TN; and Art In The Airport, Nashville, TN.

Her art has been exhibited in The Cumberland Gallery, Nashville, TN; Blue Spiral, Asheville, NC; Art Access, Bexley, Ohio; and The Art Market Gallery, Knoxville, TN. TVA, Opryland, Home Federal Bank, Blue Cross Blue Shield, The Trust Company, Corporate Interiors, The Farragut Hyatt Hotel, Scott Law Office, and private collectors have purchased her work.

After earning a Bachelor’s Degree at Ohio State University and a Master’s Degree from The University of Tennessee, Suzanne continues to study at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, TN, and with two internationally acclaimed landscape and portrait artists. She recently took a journey painting with professional artists in Venice, Italy, and the Southern region of Provence, France.
